Radio Your Way Review

It's a Radio VCR!
Wow! I've been looking for something
like this for years! While listening to BOS (Bob
O'Donnell Show) here on KFSO
560AM in San Francisco California and Ron
Rosberg, the "Gadget Guru" was talking about this
cool new device called Radio
Your Way. Basically, you can program this little device to
record any radio broadcast to memory for later playback like
a VCR or a TiVo DVR. Man alive this is cool. In fact, I consider
it one of my coolest gizmos right next to my 15gb iPod.
The first thing you notice when
you open the box is that its tiny. Just a tad smaller than an
Apple iPod. I think it's a perfect size. Great for traveling
or keeping in your tech-bag all day. There a lot of times when
I'm onsite at a clients office and wouldn't mind listening to
one of my favorite talk shows or enjoying a good audio book like
the "The Da Vinci Code" and this little puppy
would do just nicely.
The way I do reviews on products
and services is I read the manual, play around with it, take
some notes, read the manuals again, then I may visit the makers
website and peruse the support section. Then I'll go out and
see what the net says... I found lots of reviews on sites like
TechTV and SlashDot. They're usually short reviews that take
no more than 2 minutes to read and apparently 2 minutes to produce.
That's the trade-off when you work for corporate America, deadlines
you know... Well here at MH (as many of my clients will tell
you) I sometimes take so long to complete projects that it irritates
my client(s). My only excuse is that I'm a perfectionist and
I like to test and test and retest until I am sure its perfect.

List
When
Recording a radio show on batteries and the batteries are low,
don't plug in the AC Adapter. The screen will flash, lighting
up all the LCD symbols and the recording will stop. So when your
recording or planning to record make sure your batteries are
new or fully charged or plug in the AC Adapter first.
When
I'm recording a radio show manually and press the red record/pause
button to not record the commercials placing the unit in PAUSE
mode, if the commercials are too long (I think more than 3 minutes)
it will leave PAUSE mode and stop recording all together forcing
you to make another file on your RYW unit.
